This easy-to-remember number can be called from anywhere in Québec, except the north (Terres-Cries-de-la-James Bay and Nunavik). Visit the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux website for information on contacting Info-Santé 
in these regions.
If you have been bitten by an unfamiliar animal or come into contact with its saliva, don't wait: Clean the wound—even it appears minor—with soap and water for 10 to 15 minutes and call Info-Santé 8-1-1.
