Incubation period

The incubation period in humans is the time between exposure to the virus and the onset of symptoms. It ranges from 20 to 90 days, depending on wound severity, size, and distance from the brain. Bites to the head or neck as well as multiple and significant wounds appear to be associated with a shorter incubation period.
